Try different foods in your feeders to see what kind of birds you can attract. Dr. Bird talks about Northern Cardinals and their sometimes odd behaviour. Tatsiana talked about the Hutton’s Shearwater in the spring, and now we go to Hawaii to learn about the Newell’s Shearwater. The Red Footed Booby is doing well in England and the Pied Butcherbird can improvise and keep time with the best musicians out there. Canada’s national bird will be announced on the 16th of November and Fairhope Alabama is on this weeks Mark Your Calendar. More amazing photos on Winner’s Circle. This is the second to last episode of season 1. Stay Tuned!
I like the food change up. Hopefully a future episode shares the results of Tatsiana’s success and/or failure. I would need a few more Squirrel Busters before adding a smorgasbord menu. 🙂
You gotta love David’s attire today, given he was taking about cardinals; you can’t make that up. 🙂 All that was missing was a St. Louis Cardinals ball cap.
Jazz great Charlie Parker was known as ‘Bird’. Some of his compositions included “Bird of Paradise, “Ornithology”, “Yardbird Suite” and “Bird Gets the Worm”. Jazz musicians are birds of a feather.
Look forward to next week.
