Washing your feeder regularly will keep the ventilation holes unclogged which will help to keep your seed dry. If your seed is still wet please inspect your seed tube for hairline cracks especially at the seam where the transparent tube meets the green base.

You should use black oil sunflower seeds in your Squirrel Buster® Plus. Avoid any blends with large fruit pieces and nuts in this feeder.

There are a lot of factors that come into play. You need to consider shelter, location and type of seed. Placing your feeder near shrubs or trees and putting out their favorite seed may help. Safflower and black oil sunflower are Cardinal’s favorite seed options. It is important to remember that not everyone has Cardinals in their area.

Yes, if installed correctly the Squirrel Buster Plus should withstand high winds.

The Squirrel Buster® Plus can be pole mounted only if used with the pole adapter.

The Brome® Tube Solutions collection as well as the Mega 600 can also be pole mounted on any 1″ (outside diameter) pole.
