Here are the steps.

1.Remove the cover.

2.Remove the tube.

3.Locate the 3 horizontal yellow lines on the center post.

You will see a red nut at the middle line, this is the factory setting.

4.Locate the + and – signs.

If you want to feed large birds, rotate the transparent cartridge towards the + sign. You will notice that the red nut is moving downwards allowing for more weight. Make sure to not go beyond the lower yellow line.

If you do not want to feed large birds, simply rotate the transparent cartridge towards the – sign. You will notice the red nut is moving upwards allowing for less weight. Make sure to not go beyond the upper yellow line.
